What should pastors and Christians understand about Islam, and how should the Church respond?
Liberty Pastors welcomes Usama Dakdok, founder of The Straight Way of Grace Ministry, for a direct conversation with Pastor Paul Blair about Islam, Sharia, America, the Church, and the responsibility of Christians to understand the beliefs shaping the world around them.
Born in Egypt and raised in a Christian home, Usama studied Islam in Egyptian government schools and studied Sharia as part of his university education. Since coming to the United States in 1992, he has spent decades teaching Christians about Islam and encouraging churches to reach Muslim people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In this conversation, Paul and Usama discuss concerns about Islamic beliefs and political movements, the importance of understanding source material rather than relying on assumptions, civic engagement, and why Usama believes pastors cannot afford to avoid difficult subjects.
But Usama’s final challenge is also deeply evangelistic: Christians should care about the souls of Muslim people, learn what they believe, pray for them, and reach them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
This conversation is part of an ongoing Liberty Pastors series designed to equip pastors to understand important cultural and worldview issues and lead their churches with biblical conviction.
For such a time as this.
The views and interpretations expressed by guests are their own. Viewers are encouraged to examine the source material and claims discussed in this program.
